Sebagai bupati, jadwalnya tentu berjibun. Namun, di tengah kesibukan birokrasinya, Bupati Wajo, H. Amran Mahmud juga memiliki kesibukan lain. Yakni, ikut aktif dan intensif menjadi penguji tesis di Institut Agama Islam As'Adiyah Sengkang.
Minggu, (18/10/2020) kesibukan itu kembali terulang. Bertempat di aula lantai 2 IAI As'Adiyah, dua orang Mahasiswa program pascasarjana IAI As'Adiyah Sengkang mengikuti Ujian Prakualifikasi Thesis.
Berdasarkan SK Direktur Program pascasarjana IAI As'Adiyah Sengkang Nomor 117/D/AK/10/2020 dan Nomor 118/D/AK/10/2020 H. amran Mahmud bersama sejumlah Doktor lainnya untuk menjadi penguji pada ujian prakualifikasi thesis kali ini.
H. Amran Mahmud mengaku sangat menikmati ketika diminta untuk menguji tesis mahasiswa di IAI As'Adiyah. Bahkan, dia selalu berupaya meluangkan waktu ketika mendapat undangan dari kampus tempatnya mengabdi sebagai Dosen. Bukan karena apa, dia juga ingin mendapatkan ilmu.
”Banyak sekali pengetahuan atau ilmu yang saya dapatkan, dan ini merupakan bagian dari tanggung jawab meningkatkan SDM di daerah ini, " katanya.
Terpisah, Ketua IAI As'Adiyah memberikan apresiasi terhadap keaktifan H. amran Mahmud di kampus IAI As'diyah selama ini.
Di tengah kesibukan sebagai orang nomor satu di Kabupaten Wajo, dia selalu menyempatkan ketika diminta menjadi penguji.
