Dalam video resmi yang diunggah akun Pertamina pada Selasa (2/12), terlihat kru Pertamina berada di dalam helikopter menyiapkan paket bantuan sebelum dijatuhkan ke permukiman warga di Kecamatan Rantau yang kini terputus aksesnya akibat tingginya genangan air dan kerusakan jalan.
“Tidak memungkinkan untuk mendarat, tim Subholding Upstream Pertamina salurkan bantuan untuk masyarakat melalui airdrop,” demikian keterangan Pertamina.
Bantuan yang diantar meliputi kebutuhan dasar seperti makanan siap konsumsi, air bersih, perlengkapan bayi, serta kebutuhan darurat lain bagi warga yang terisolasi selama beberapa hari terakhir.
Pertamina menyebut bahwa logistik darurat dan pengerahan relawan masih terus dilakukan di lapangan. Jalur darat menuju beberapa desa belum bisa dilalui akibat arus kuat dan material lumpur yang menutup ruas jalan.
Upaya ini dilakukan sebagai bagian dari dukungan BUMN energi terhadap percepatan penanganan bencana di Sumatera bagian utara.
Pertamina menegaskan bahwa operasi bantuan akan terus berlanjut selama kondisi darurat masih berlangsung.
