Sehari setelah Lebaran Idul Fitri, Bupati Wajo, Amran Mahmud mengunjungi Kecamatan Keera dan Kecamatan Pitumpanua.
Kunjungan ini merupakan bentuk kepedulian dan tanggung jawab atas bencana longsor yang terjadi di Desa Awo, Kecamatan Keera serta Desa Lompo Bulo dan Desa Simpellu Kecamatan Pitumpanua, Jumat, 14 Mei 2021
Turut mendampingi, Anggota DPRD Kab. Wajo, Elfrianto, Kepala Dinas PUPR, Kalaksa BPBD, Camat Pitumpanua, Camat Keera dan Kabid Sosial.
Amran Mahmud menyampaikan keprihatinan kepada empat keluarga yang terdampak longsor dimana dua diantaranya sudah membongkar rumah karena tanah pijakan tiangnya yang runtuh.
"Kami turut prihatin, kami sudah perintahkan kepada dinas perkim bersama BPBD untuk membantu perbaikan rumah ,termasuk listriknya nanti" kata Amran.
Amran Mahmud bersama rombongan kemudian melanjutkan peninjauan ruas jalan poros Awo dan Simpellu yang runtuh serta jalan desa Lompo Bulo. Dia meminta kepada Dinas PUPR untuk segera melakukan upaya perbaikan.
" kami perintahkan kepada Dinas PUPR untuk segera melakukan upaya perbaikan jalan agar mobilisasi masyarakat bisa tetap berjalan lancar" ungkap Amran
Amran kemudian melanjutkan meninjau lokasi banjir di Desa Lompo Loang, Kelurahan Benteng, Kelurahan Tobarakka dan Kelurahan Bulete.
