Jalur lintas nasional yang menghubungkan Aceh Tamiang dengan Sumatra Utara (Sumut) yang sebelumnya lumpuh total akibat banjir dan longsor kini perlahan kembali dapat dilalui. Bupati Aceh Tamiang, Armia Fahmi, memastikan bahwa kendaraan berat sudah mulai melewati kawasan Seumadam, salah satu titik paling terdampak. Meski masih terdapat sisa lumpur dan genangan air, akses kini terbuka untuk mempercepat mobilisasi logistik dan alat berat.
“Alhamdulillah jalan nasional wilayah Aceh Tamiang–Sumut sudah normal dan sudah bisa dilewati truk besar,” ujar Armia.
Tim gabungan tetap melanjutkan pencarian korban, dengan jumlah korban meninggal yang telah terkonfirmasi sebanyak 22 orang.

Bantuan dari pemerintah pusat, provinsi, dan kabupaten mulai berdatangan dan didistribusikan melalui jalur sungai dan udara karena sejumlah jembatan masih terputus. Pemkab Aceh Tamiang telah mengirim bantuan ke delapan desa terisolir di Kecamatan Sekerak menggunakan sampan. Di Desa Sekumur, yang rumah penduduknya hanyut karena banjir, bantuan untuk 1.000 warga telah disalurkan.
